  My husband and I went in today to get our new VA license plates and tags as we just moved here from TN. I'm sorry that I can't remember the lady's name who helped us. I wish I could. She was so helpful, kind, friendly, sweet and had a great sense of humor. She was so informative. She made the process so pleasant. The lady working in the booth next to her was the same with her customers, too. If I could give more than 5 stars I surely would!

  I would leave 0 Stars right now if I could. I traveled to James City County DMV Select after leaving the regular DMV at Williamsburg. The main DMV office said I could use the select office to title a trailer . after standing in line going through all the paperwork the lady entering it into the system and me paying by check because their systems of credit cards were down , I was then told by the same individual that she forgot, she could not process this request here because online Trailer Sales like Leonard, which is one of the largest ones on the market, have to be done at the main DMV office. You think this information could have been passed on to me when I first said hello how are you doing I'm here to title my trailer. I've always read about the horrendous experiences people have had at DMV and I thought it was just a stigma attached to it until today. Not only did they accept my money and I wasted my time and a company check no apology was offered on their mistake so thank you James City County employee!! As a small business owner my time is money and telling me I have to go somewhere else after you register my trailer, would have been a lot easier pill to swallow had you just said I'm sorry this was my mistake I should have told you when you first walked in the door instead of wasting your time. Mistakes happen yes, but this is the Department of Motor Vehicles and for those who are titling trailers in James City County do not go to any of the select offices.
